Whistler Bachelorette Hotels

Bachelorette Party group

Make the Bachelorette Party in Whistler one to remember.

There are a large number of fantastic hotels that will meet the needs of all different kinds of bachelorette groups. We’ve chosen some of our favourites, and all of the following hotels are TAG approved meaning these hotels have been recognised for having gay-friendly criteria and standards. We’ve written more about LGBTQI Whistler here. All the following hotels are located in the Village, meaning they are close to the majority of the restaurants, nightlife and the slopes- making your trip hassle-free.

Fairmont Chateau Whistler

Inside a luxury hotel room

There is not other hotel like it in Whistler, the Fairmont Chateau

The Fairmont Chateau Whistler is a central and luxurious option to host a bachelorette party group. It’s located at the base of Whistler’s Blackcomb Mountain, so if skiing and snowboarding are on your agenda then it’s a convenient choice. It has not one but six dining locations, but its centrality in the Village also means that it’s never too far to venture to some of the top-rated restaurants dotted around the Village.

It has a Vida Spa and slopeside whirlpools to keep you all relaxed and pampered. Vida Spa offers a full range of esthetic and massage options, and they can even accommodate large groups. There’s also a fitness centre (if that’s a top priority?…) and both an indoor and outdoor pool with bar service. This hotel is popular with bachelorette groups, and you can read a review of it for this very purpose here.

Mountainside Lodge

Mountainside Lodge is another great Whistler bachelorette hotel option. It’s also located centrally in the Village, therefore making access to restaurants, nightlife and other amenities simple. Mountainside Lodge’s rooms are all equipped with full kitchens.

This can be a game changer for groups that enjoy cooking, want to feel a bit of independence and/or want to save a significant amount of money by dining in. If you’ve got a group where half want to eat in and half want to eat out, the hotel’s very own Italian restaurant (one of Whistler’s top-rated)- Trattoria di Umberto- is an excellent choice. Looking for a luxurious extra kick? Some of the loft suites at Mountainside Lodge have their very own private saunas.

Hilton Whistler Resort and Spa

Hilton Whistler

The Hilton Resort and Spa in Whistler is a well established hotel destination in Whistler VIllage

The Hilton Whistler Resort and Spa is a fantastic option for large groups since you can book connecting rooms. It also features the largest guest-rooms in Whistler- they are noticeably spacious with enough room for all of the things that your bachelorette shenanigans require.

At the foot of the mountains, the Hilton Whistler Resort and Spa also has its own Taman Sari Royal Spa and was awarded “Luxury Resort & Spa of the Year” in 2016 and 2017, offering you a selection of elegant spa packages and high end restaurants.

Want to really treat the bride to be? Book the Signature Spa Room for a luxurious room with a private balcony and spacious indoor two-person jetted soaker tub. They also feature their very own wood-burning or electric fireplace. As to be expected with a Hilton, you can rely on world-class service at all stages of your trip. Their “Request Upon Arrival” services mean that your rooms can be tailored to suit the needs before check-in. The possibilities of surprising the group and Bride to Be are as varied as your creativity.

Aava Whistler Hotel

Aava is the Host of Whistler Pride 2019 and excellent at Bachelorette Parties

This central hotel is one of Whistler’s most modern and stylist, but is also one of the more affordable high-end options. There are two-bedroom unit options which are spacious and a useful option for large group bookings. Aava also has a fitness facility, outdoor pool and hot tub with scenic mountain views, as well as a sauna to help scare away any impending hangovers.

If your group is seeking to get out on two wheels to explore the Whistler town area and local lakes, Aava offers complimentary Giant cruiser bikes for you to use. Not only that, Aava is unique in offering complimentary GoPro HD cameras for use throughout your stay. That means a lot of fantastically embarrassing photos and videos to show at the wedding party…

Private Home Rental

With a large group who want a large private space, access to a fully-stocked kitchen and potentially a more affordable rate? Renting an entire house can be a smart and fun option. There are several ways of doing this in Whistler.

Airbnb

Airbnb is the most obvious and a hugely popular option. It has a variety of differently sized private houses with differing levels of luxury, from more basic options to fully-decked, hot-tub featuring villas. Since bachelorette parties often involve drinking at some point, we recommend finding a place close to the Village to avoid racking up bills for paying multiple taxis to get you from your accommodation to the restaurants, nightlife and activities that await in Whistler Village.

Or, if you are happy to sacrifice being close to the Village and are in favour of a little serenity, why not book a place close to one of the amazing lakes in Whistler, such as Alta Lake or Nita Lake? Morning dips anyone?

Luxury Vacation Rental

There are a number of websites dedicated to helping you find guaranteed luxurious and often large private homes to rent. Warning: after viewing these websites common symptoms are wanderlust and dissatisfaction with current home accommodation.

Here are a selection of some of the more user-friendly options:

Whistler Delux rental

Whistler Deluxe has a few excellent options for the bachelorette

  • Whistler Deluxe: this is a great resource. When you book with Whistler Deluxe you can expect a shuttle to pick you up from the airport as well as a selection of fresh bread, fine cheese and cold meats as well as wine or beer awaiting you for your first night. You choose what groceries you want the kitchen to be stocked with.

And some more options:

Five Great Activities for Your Whistler Bachelorette Party

There is a whole variety of activities to do for a bachelorette party, and we’ve picked our top five which should cater to the preferences of most in a group.

1.Fly through the mountains

Ziptrek zipline over mountains

Breathtaking in more ways than one

Wait, what? Yes we mean it! Flying through the mountains is an incredible opportunity that you and your friends can do through Whistler’s two highly successful ziplining organizations. If it’s the mountains and scenery that are calling to Whistler, and of course it is, then a Whistler ziplining trip is a truly memorable way to explore the Whistler mountains and valleys.

There are two great options with ZipTrek Ecotours and Superfly.  With ZipTrek Ecotours you can challenge your friends to go down the longest zipline in North America at over 2km in length and a launch height of 160 storeys.

Ziptrek also provide each guest with a GoPro camera with the option to purchase the video and associated footage- another great way to collect hilarious content for the future wedding party. Superfly features two of Canada’s longest ziplines, and one of the coolest things: if you mention Forged Axe Throwing when you book directly with Superfly you’ll receive a discount.

2.Push your Bride to Be off a bridge

Bungee jumping in Whistler

Don’t be shy, take a leap of faith at Whistler Bungee with a loved one!

Just kidding. Kind of? Whistler Bungee is a classic for the most adventurous kind of bachelorette parties. Nestled between old growth forests and rugged cliffs, Whistler Bungee offers a 160 ft jump down towards the icy Cheakamus River. It’s jump masters and operators have over 17 years experience- you are in safe hands at Whistler Bungee. Transport to the site is free for the jumpers and $10 for spectators. A photographer is always on call, ready to capture the moment.

3.Bliss out- you deserve it

It’s easy for a Whistler bachelorette party to become an action-packed ‘go, go, go!’ kind of trip where it’s hard to take a moment to chill. Why not book in a time for organised absolute, luxurious chilling with a group trip to the award-winning and spectacularly beautiful Scandinave Spa? Features include a Finnish sauna, Eucalyptus steam baths, Nordic waterfall (cold!), solariums, a Hammock Haven in summer, and more.

Located just five minutes from the Village and adjacent to Lost Lake Park, this spa offers group rates for groups with a minimum of ten people (does not apply on Saturdays). Also useful to know: the Scandinave Spa also has package deals with Aava Whitler hotel.

A Dessert Tour is offered where guests will sample some of the eclectic dessert offerings from different Whistler chefs, take part in a blind wine tasting, and get taken to the best spots for cocktails. 5. Throw axes!

Of course, come throw axes at Forged! We don’t require you to wear plaid shirts, but we don’t think that’s a bad option for a squad costume theme. When in Whistler?…
