Axe Throwing FAQ
Just like the name implies, we throw axes, and pretty soon you will too!
What Is Axe Throwing?
Axe throwing is a really fun, social, and satisfying way to spend some time while you’re in Whistler. It’s a great activity for small groups or large groups as well.
Our team at Forged will teach you everything you need to know, and you will not believe how satisfying it is when you hit your first bullseye!
-
Yes. You must be over 10 years old to participate and have a legal guardian accompanying you if you’re under 18. While we’ll make every effort to ensure young players are having a good time, it’s possible that your 10-year-old might not have the strength needed to make it happen.
-
If you are late, we will always try our best to keep you to your booked time, but if this interferes with anyone else’s experience, Forged staff reserve the right to re-book your session to another time.
The best way to avoid this is to show up 10 minutes early so you can sign in, and you’ll be ready to go!
-
Yes, we do! We are a fully licensed venue and we have beer and other beverages available for purchase.
-
Axe throwing can build up an appetite. Trust us; we get it!
We do have hot dogs and light snacks available during your throwing session.
We also have some other great food options in the area!
- Wild Wood Cafe is just down the street from us and it’s delicious! They make awesome pastas, sandwiches, and breakfasts.
- Functional Pie is an amazing pizza place located just down the street in Function Junction! The quality of the pepperoni will blow you away!
- Pure Bread is a few doors down and their baked goods are unreal!
- Olives Community Market is two doors down and they have a selection of sandwiches and a salad bar.
- Whistler Brewing has some delicious pizzas and sammys.
- Delish is a quick walk down Alpha Lake Rd and they always have a wicked lunch special on.
- Just beside Delish is an awesome bakery called 200 Degrees. You HAVE to try their pretzel bread buns, so good just on their own, but I bet they would make an epic sandwich.
-
Oh yeah, you can! Rock those shorts and show off those sweet leg gainz you’ve been working on! As long as you wear closed-toe shoes and your attire isn’t horribly offensive to us, you’re welcome to be comfortable!
-
No. We love hosting awesome axe throwers who are over 10 years old, but if they’re under 19, they do need to be accompanied by at least one chaperone for the group. We’re awesome axe throwers but not great baby sitters.
If you have children under 10, they’re more than welcome to hang out at Forged while you throw some axes, but they’ll be unable to participate in the activity. It is loud at Forged, so wearing earplugs is a good idea. We do have child sizes available, but they won’t fit everyone.
Unattended children will be fed Red Bull, taught how to chop down furniture, given an axe, and let loose in your living room.

Yes, we do! Click here to buy gift certificates. The most popular gift certificates are for our Small Party, Large Party, or XL Party bookings.

The #20 bus leaves the Gondola Exchange bay #2 every 30 minutes and will drop you off just outside our door. The ride only takes 20 minutes, and during the summer months, it’s free on Saturdays and Sundays!
There are a few other options as well, and you can get all the information you need here.
-
Yeah, for sure! As long as your dog is well behaved and you bring a leash to tie them up if necessary, we’re totally keen for you to bring your furry friend with you. We do reserve the right to ask any doggo to leave if they’re being too rowdy or disrupting our other guests. You might see our shop dog, Bandito, or our league mascot, Toots!
-
Oh yeah! We do have hot dogs and light snacks available for purchase. Think chips, chocolate bars, gum, pretzels, and more. Let us know if you want us to help you organize catering, and we can help make that happen!
-
Yes! We love your bikes, and we know how important it is to keep it safe. Please bring your own bike lock, and don’t enjoy too many brews before biking!
-
All the time! It really depends on how many people are coming down, but it’s typically once or twice a day. We go through thousands of feet of wood, and when they’re done, they make awesome firewood! Come by and pick some up.
