These ‘slow season’ deals are the highlight of some locals’ year. But don’t worry, visitors can take part too, now that you’re in on the secret. If you’re in Whistler in spring or fall, make sure to fit in one this season’s deals at some of the best restaurants in Whistler.

An old fashioned

A local’s hangout, in a fancy location

The Keg Steakhouse is well known for its wide-ranging and excellent menu featuring some of the best steaks, seafood and grills in the village. But did you know they also host one of the best sports bars in Whistler? Brandy’s, with a more relaxed vibe and plenty of screens to enjoy the hockey, is a locals’ favourite.

While they’re open until 2am, we think the best time to be there is their 3pm – 5pm Cocktail Hour. Each day features a different $5 cocktails (Tuesday’s Whisky Sour is our favourite), as well as select items from their bar menu for $12-13. Enjoy great service and the very best ingredients in everything they do.

Whistler Bites Pizzaria Antiqua

Pizza the way Italy would have wanted

A little less well known, but well worth a visit, is Pizzeria Antico. Located on Main Street, at the quieter end of Whistler village, their authentic wood-fired pizza is the perfect Mediterranean antidote to those cold winter nights.

Make sure to plan ahead to be there on Tuesday, when you can grab any of their pizzas and a beer from their huge craft beer menu for only $15. We love the relaxed atmosphere here too, and in on those hot summer days they have a great patio that often gets overlooked.

4. Hunter Gather – $9.99 ‘Fall Down’ menu

Hunter Gather is a relative newcomer in town, opening its doors in 2017. But the owners have run local catering company Whistler Cooks for years, and their love for local food and produce shines through in Hunter Gather’s menu. You can’t miss their Pemberton potatoes – their version of fries, expect way tastier and grown just up the valley.

Their Pulled Pork Sandwich also gets rave reviews or try their Steelhead Chowder to warm your bones on a rainy night. During fall, all their dishes are only $9.99 – but even in the busy season this friendly local eatery is perfect for families: quick, casual and affordable.

There’s a few reasons we love the ‘Fitz’, as locals know it. Firstly, its cosy pub atmosphere, and quiet location at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, is a far cry from what you might expect in Whistler. You’ll be sure to rub shoulders with some long-time locals here, in Whistler’s original craft beer bar.

And on that point, their craft beer menu is one of the best in town. It’s constantly changing, but always features some of the best breweries from all over B.C. Finally, their happy hour is perfectly timed for you to enjoy a couple of drinks before or after dinner, while having time to get out of your ski gear first.
